Leigh Hodgkinson has written a book that is brilliant and cute simultaneously!  Goldilocks and the Just Right Potty is a perfect book for bibliotherapy with your toddler who is potty training.  We also have a number of other books and dvds that deal with the subject.

Book! Book! Book! by Deborah Bruss was recommended to me this morning by a young patron who has already completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program!  I love to hear enthusiastic feedback about good books, and this is a funny story.  It's on A. R. level 2.2, and is worth 0.5 points.  You should check it out!

Kids can get in the kitchen this summer to learn how to prepare some basic foods.  We have many great cookbooks, but 20 Recipes Kids Should Know was written by a twelve year old, Esme Washburn.  The photography is by a seventeen year old.  This is a book we just got, so be the first to try this book out at your house!
